Mariazell railway and model railway museum

Railway in the station

The day's excursion begins on the Mariazell railway. The train takes you comfortably and car-free to Kirchberg. The modern stairway to heaven is on the move every day. Travelling on the Ötscherbär adventure train is also possible on selected days.

The model railway museum is located directly at the station and displays the mountain section of the Mariazell Railway on a scale of 1:87 on an area of 120m². The historic electric locomotive and a nostalgic railway carriage can be viewed on the station forecourt. All children receive a sweet surprise in the museum! The train takes you back home or to another excursion destination on the Mariazell railway.

Opening hours model railway museum:

Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 13:00 - 17:00

Additionally May - September Friday 9 am - 1 pm

Additionally July & August Thursday 9am - 1pm
