Grand anniversary celebration on 3 May 2026

The Reblaus Express is celebrating its anniversary – and invites you to a grand celebration for the whole family on 3 May! For 25 years, this popular excursion train has been synonymous with enjoyment, joie de vivre and leisurely travel through one of the most beautiful regions of Lower Austria. We are celebrating this special anniversary with a varied programme of festivities: live music on the train, a cheerful atmosphere along the route and a very special extra for families – children travel free on this day. Come aboard and celebrate with us an anniversary full of music, fun and unforgettable moments on board the Reblaus Express. The communities along the route are offering a varied programme on 3 May:

Retz – Anniversary kick-off from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

In the beautiful wine town of Retz, a station festival awaits you with<br />musical accompaniment by the ‘Windmühlen-Echo Retz’. Food and<br />drink will be provided by ‘Stellwerk III – Pabst Power Kitchen’.

Peißing – Phylloxera slow train to the Thayatal National Park

The slow train will take you from Pleißing on a round trip through Austria's smallest town, Hardegg, to the heart of the Thayatal National Park and back.

Weitersfeld – Anniversary celebration at the station from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A colourful festival with a varied programme awaits you. Playful discovery with the youth fire brigade, a bouncy castle for children and the Weitersfels youth band plays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Manhartsberg winegrowers, the fire brigade bar and culinary delicacies round off the festivities.

Langau – Games festival for ‘young and old’

Rope skipping, sack races, rubber boot throwing or an exciting treasure hunt– the games festival for young and old right next to Langau railway station offers lots of fun. Delicious food and refreshing drinks will be provided.

Geras-Kottaun – Station café with wine tavern &
games and fun for children from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The ‘USV APV Geras’ is hosting this weekend. Games and fun for children are the focus. Active games will be revisited under the motto ‘rediscover old games’. In the morning and afternoon, you can enjoy a walk to Geras Abbey, including a special tour of the monastery.

Drosendorf – your destination station with a welcome drink

An exhibition on the history of the station awaits you. You will receive vouchers for great offers and experiences in Drosendorf. Enjoy a colourful children's programme, guided tours of the town, a culinary market and fascinating places with programmes such as the cinema, castle, civic hospital and jazz cellar.
