Autumn is goose season. Enjoy a delightful day trip on the Reblaus Express and indulge in a culinary experience at the historic Schüttkasten Geras.

Travel in nostalgic style aboard the Reblaus Express, including its unique Heuriger coach, on the journey to Geras. From Geras-Kottaun station, a pleasant walk of approximately 13 minutes takes you to the Schüttkasten Geras.

Whether you prefer a traditional St. Martin's goose meal, Waldviertel specialties, or vegetarian and vegan dishes, the Schüttkasten Geras offers something for every food lover.

Restaurant reservations will be submitted collectively by Niederösterreich Bahnen after the booking deadline on 22 October 2026.

Departure from Retz: 9:35 am
Boarding is also possible at intermediate stations.

Arrival at Geras-Kottaun: 11:00 am
Arrival at Schüttkasten Geras: approximately 11:15 am

After lunch, enjoy your free time in Geras and visit Geras Abbey or the Nature Park.

Please ensure that you return to Geras-Kottaun station in time for the departure.

Return departure from Geras-Kottaun: 3:46 pm

Regular Reblaus Express fares apply.

The Lower Austria Card and the Reblaus Express Season Ticket are accepted without any surcharge.

Meals and drinks are not included in the train fare and must be paid directly at the restaurant.

Tip

If you stay overnight at Schüttkasten Geras on 24 or 25 October, you can use your return journey on the Reblaus Express on the following day.
